Calling All Healthy Foodies! 🥕

January's yoga challenge went so well that I felt inspired to do another self-guided challenge this month. It's just time to reapply some efforts to my nutritional side of personal care. Because, to be brutally honest, I gained some serious lbs during this crazy last year, mostly because I separated from all the good dietary habits I'd worked so hard to create in 2018 and 2019 (which led to me losing 40 lbs).

Anyway, I invite you to either join me in the February Food Challenge. Do this on your own or spin up a challenge pod to make it more fun. (Plus, it's more likely you'll hold yourself accountable if you're sharing your experience. There's nothing like external motivators!!! LOL)

The Challenge 🥜

This challenge is purposely very unstructured. Don't want it to become something you dread! Plus, your challenge may be different than the next person's. For example, my challenge will be to track what I eat and drink (using the Weight Watchers app). Maybe another person โ€” who already has their weight solidly in the healthy range โ€” will challenge him/herself to try going vegan for the month, drink more water or tea, or experiment with preparing healthy new recipes.

So, determine what your food challenge will be and how you will do it. Be sure to create S.M.A.R.T. goals and milestones. Do forget to build in some incentives or non-food rewards! Once you've figured those pieces out, commit your plan to paper.

Then start your challenge and document it as you go. You can document offline, like in a journal, or online. I'm big on documenting my challenge โ€” helps me stay accountable. So, I'll be a diligent poster in the socialsphere, using the hashtag #myfeb2021food. Be sure to check it out!

  2. To go solo, figure out what is a good challenge goal and go for it!
  3. To start your own group, figure out what you want your challenge to look like and round up some friends to make it fun!
